This is an article I found on dpod blog posted from June of this year. Stanley Fish and William Pannapacker talk about the potential digital humanities has and why a few years ago it was said to be the “next big thing” but now there’s no “next” about it. I found it interesting – you should give it a read!

Cool–I’ll go over how to hyperlink in class on Monday so it’s clickable. [I didn’t know how to do it when I was first assigned a blog either, but once I learned I linked everything!]

What I love about this article is that right away it says the MLA conference seemed more like a convention on technology rather than literature! I’m not saying that literature conventions are a bad thing but its exciting that DH is becoming more popular. There is so much that you can do with it and people are really starting to realize it. Thats why I think we no longer have to say its the ‘next’ big thing, because it is the big thing, and its here and its growing!
